Mutton Biryani For DMK As K. Annamalai Trails In Votes For Coimbatore Seat

After BJP's Tamil Nadu representative, K. Annamalai is currently trailing in votes for the Coimbatore seat to DMK representative Ganapathy Rajkumar J. The party decided to celebrate by having mutton biryani as means of showing their confidence in victory.

In a video by India today, some DMK workers are shown carrying a goat with a picture of Annamali hung from its neck. This was in reference to the mutton biryani they're all having. Annamalai is also often called 'Aadu', or a 'Goat' in Tamil, by his critics. This is in opposition to his title of Karnataka's 'Singham' or 'Lion' when he used to be the Deputy Commissioner of Police in South Bengaluru.

According to Data from the ECI, Ganapathy Rajkumar J., who acted as the representative for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is currently leading by around 32,000 votes ahead of second place with a total of 1,81,000 votes. Behind him stands K. Annamalai at a total of 1,48,000 votes. In third place is Singai G. Ramchandran, representative of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, who's trailing with a total of 76,000 votes. Finally, in fourth place is Kalamani Jaganathan, representative of Naam Tamilar Katchi, who's secured 27,500 votes.

Most of the other people who contested for the Coimbatore constituency haven't even reached 600 votes.

Today is also K. Annamalai birthday, but there have been no recent announcements regarding that on his social media like his X or Instagram. The latest post on his instagram was one calling out AIADMK, calling it a diminishing light, and saying that on 4 June, everyone will see which party has won the hearts of the people and has grown the most.
