Cash, gold ornaments looted

Coimbatore, Mar 6: An unidentified gang looted Rs two lakh and gold ornaments weighing 30 sovereigns from an industrialist's house near Tirupur, after tying up the owner, early today.

Police said the gang reportedly gained entry through the rear door and tied up industrialist Sathyaprabhu with a rope and took away the cash and valuables kept in an almirah in the house at Kuppuchipalayam.

The gang fled in a car parked outside the house, belonging to the victim. Police are on the lookout for the suspects.
