'Tamil Pudhalvan' Scheme: How To Apply Online For Rs 1000 Scheme? Full Details Inside

Following the success of the 'Pudhumai Penn' scheme, the MK Stalin-led DMK government has introduced a new initiative for boys called the 'Tamil Pudhalvan' scheme.

The Tamil Puthalvan scheme will provide a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 to male students from government and government-aided schools who are pursuing higher education in Tamil Nadu. The scheme was officially launched by the Tamil Nadu government on Friday, with the goal of increasing higher education enrollment among government school students.

Under this scheme, 3.28 lakh students who complete their 12th grade in Tamil medium at government and government-aided schools and continue to college will receive Rs 1,000 per month. The Tamil Nadu government has allocated a budget of Rs 360 crore for this initiative.

Funds will be directly deposited into the students' bank accounts each month, assisting them in purchasing textbooks, general knowledge books, and magazines to support their education.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must be permanent residents of Tamil Nadu.

• Eligible students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000.

How to Apply:

• Students must apply for this scheme through their schools or institutions, not directly. Previously, a registration camp was held for girl students until November 11, 2022, where they submitted their details and documents to their respective schools or colleges.
