The Chief Minister highlighted that the DMK government has allocated Rs 3.29 crores for traders' welfare. He assured that there should be no intermediaries between the government and traders, ensuring direct support. "Trade licenses now need to be renewed only once in three years," Stalin added.

Also, he announced an increase in financial aid for deceased trade union members from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakhs. This move aims to provide better support to the families of those who pass away while being part of trade unions.

Stalin also noted a significant rise in the number of traders registered with the traders' welfare union, which now stands at 88,209 members. He urged businessmen and traders to operate with compassion rather than focusing solely on commercial gains.

"No one should point fingers and say that Tamil is not found anywhere in the streets of Tamil Nadu," Stalin remarked, stressing the cultural importance of using Tamil on business name boards.

By promoting these measures, Stalin aims to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for traders across Tamil Nadu while preserving the state's linguistic heritage.
