K Annamalai Says He Will Flog Himself 6 Times, Won't Wear Slippers Until DMK Overthrown In Tamil Nadu
Addressing a presser in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, BJP State Chief K Annamalai slammed the ruling DMK government. Anguished by DMK-led state government's alleged failures at every aspect, specially law and order, K Annamalai pledged that he will not wear any shoes until the DMK government is overthrown in Tamil Nadu.
K Annamalai said, "Till the DMK government is not overthrown, I will walk barefoot. I'm requesting the people, please look into all this."

"As always, we are not going to be giving money to win elections. We willfight elections without distributing any money. I won't wear a chappal until the DMK government goes out," he added.

He further said that he will flog himself 6 times tomorrow (on Friday) outside his Coimbatore residence to "take down all the evil". Adding that he will observe 48 hour fasting and will pray from Lord Murugan for the betterment and welfare of state.
The BJP had called the press conference to address the sexual assault incident that recently happened with a 19-year-old student at Anna University.
Questioning the intentions of the DMK government and state police, K Annamalai alleged that they intentionally "leaked" the FIR copy which revealed the identity of the victim.
Annamalai also targeted the state police for writing the FIR in a manner that shamed the victim.
