Did You Miss Thalapathy Vijay's Speech At TVK Maanaadu Event? Here Is The Full Speech
Actor Vijay's speech at his party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) even is being lauded by public and political pundits.
Hailing Vijay's speech, senior journalist Sumanth Raman, on his X account, said, "This is a very powerful speech by @actorvijay. Honestly I never expected such a fiery speech. ๐๐๐." He also predicted that the actor might become Deputy Chief Minister.

He added, "If he plays his cards right @actorvijay could become the @PawanKalyan of Tamil Nadu in 2026. Way too early to say with confidence but after today's start that is a possibility."
At his party's first public conference on Sunday, the Tamil actor took on the DMK and the BJP as he announced Kamaraj and Ambedkar as his party's guiding force. However, he has made it clear that he will not be following Periyar's atheism principle.
"Periyar is our primary ideological leader. But, we will not adopt his atheism ideology alone. We neither agree nor believe in it. However, as former Chief Minister CN Annadurai said, we stand by One Race, One God principle (Ondre Kulam, Oruvane Thevan). Nevertheless, we will embrace all other principles of Periyar including education for women, equality for all and social justice politics," The Print quoted Vijay as saying at Vikravandi.
Without taking the names, the actor announced that he is against the BJP and the DMK. "Just by taking a stand itself, it would have been known to everybody who our opponents are. During the announcement of our party, when we said 'all are born equal' (a line from Tamil classic Tirukkural), people would have identified who our real opponents are. But, we are not only fighting against the divisive politics alone, but also against the corrupt forces,"
He took a potshot at the Tamil Nadu government saying that it was difficult to identify the corrupt forces as "they hide behind the mask of ideology and principles".
The star also criticized anti-welfare politics, saying, "Some people argue, 'give a person a fish, and they'll eat for a day; teach them to fish, and they'll eat for a lifetime.' We aren't like that. Those who can fish should do so and support themselves. But we will provide for those who can't," Vijay remarked.
He also addressed the online trend where DMK supporters label dissenters as 'sanghis.' Mocking this, Vijay added, "There are groups with paint boxes, but no one changes the colors that TVK has chosen for itself."
Veteran film journalist Sreedhar Pillai praised Vijay's speech and said: "Fiery, Powerful, Insightful & Impressive Speech by #ThalapathyVijay at #TVKMaanadu ๐"
