Stress Applied On 15 Months – A Flaring Speech By CM Stalin, Kindling For BJP

In the inauguration function of Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital, Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin has kindled BJP regarding its commitment towards starting the construction works of AIIMS hospital in Tamil Nadu. He compared both works saying that AIIMs construction was announced in 2015 and till 2023 no initiative was taken. On the other hand construction works of Kalaignar Centenary hospital was completed within 15 months of its announcement.

Located in Guindy, Chennai the Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Mr M.K. Stalin along with the medical staff.

While delivering his speech in the function he kindled BJP regarding the AIIMs construction. In his speech, he also mentioned that Karunanidhi means king. Hence it is only right to name the hospital located on the premises of Kings Institute in Guindy as Karunanidhi. Karunanidhi was a person who lived as a king and kind maker throughout his life. The construction work of the hospital was completed within 15 months. Repeatedly I am saying we have completed the construction work within 15 months said the Chief Minister.

CM said that it is a commendable achievement for the state. After announcing AIIMs construction in 2015, no major steps have been taken so far other than the one brick which was laid as foundation stone. Compared to the situation of AIIMs Madurai, the construction of Kalaignar Centenary hospital was completed within 15 months of laying the foundation stone. People know to differentiate leaders who sincerely formulate policies for the welfare of the people from the leaders who announce insincere policies for deceiving people.

On 7th May 2021, DMK government assumed power. On 3rd June coinciding with the 97th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, DMK government released 6 important notifications. One among them is the construction of a super speciality hospital at a cost of 250 crores with 500 beds facility. For the hospital construction 4.89 acres of land was chosen in the premises of Kings Institute in Guindy, Chennai.

The 500 beds facility was upgraded to a 1000 beds facility. The foundation stone was laid on 21st March 2022 and by June 2023 the entire construction was over within a time frame of 15 months. The hospital was constructed on 4.89 acres with 3 buildings, 6 floors and an area of 51,429 sq.m. The Chief Minister said that it is a world class hospital with disabled friendly infrastructure, 10 lifts and canteens etc.

This occasion had been graced by Minister of Public works Mr. E.V. Velu, Minister of Health and family welfare Mr. Ma. Subramanian and many other dignitaries.
