Punjab: 2 Kabbadi players injured as police constable opens fire
Moga (Pb), Jul 21: Two kabaddi players were seriously injured when a police constable allegedly fired at them while they were on their way to Lande village, police said today.
Lakhwinder Singh (22) and Varinder Singh (22) were on their way to Lande village from Dosanjh village in Moga yesterday when the accused, Paramdeep Singh, allegedly intercepted their vehicle and opened fire at them resulting in injuries to the two.

They were rushed to a Ludhiana hospital for treatment. A criminal case has been lodged against the accused, police said, adding that the incident seems to be a result of a personal grudge the accused had against one of the two.
A case has been lodged against the accused, who has gone absconding, for attempt to murder as also under the provisions of the Arms Act. A hunt has been launched to nab him, police said.
