Operation Bluestar anniversary: Dal Khalsa calls for Amritsar shutdown

Addressing a press conference at the party office here today, Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said on the day the outfit would protest against the killings of hundreds of innocent pilgrims in the attack on the Golden Temple.
He urged the people to observe a peaceful bandh to send a strong message to the government that the wounds of the 1984 attack were still simmering and that the Sikhs would never forget this.
He said the bandh call was for business and educational institutions and transport facilities would function as usual.
Singh said the people would hold a rally on June 5, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the attack on the Golden Temple.
