Amritsar: 18-month-old infant burnt alive by mother!

Amritsar, May 2: An eighteen-month-old infant was burnt alive after which the police arrested her mother for allegedly being involved in the incident. SHO Jagjit Singh Chahal on Monday said, during investigation the mother was found involved.

She confessed during interrogation that she had plan to set herself ablaze after killing her son with the motive to trap some people over old enmity.

After sprinkling kerosene on her infant, she became terrified and couldn't dare to sprinkle kerosene on herself, the SHO said.

However, yesterday police said the woman had claimed that the infant was burnt alive by two persons Hari Singh and Billa.
