‘India’s People Are Its Power’: Adani Director Backs Bright Economic Outlook
Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, has called for a large-scale transformation across sectors to help India unlock its full potential and become a developed nation, or Viksit Bharat, by 2047. Speaking at the first foundation day of the Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) in New Delhi, Adani echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India's growth.

"The scale of transformation required for India to realise its full potential and become Viksit Bharat by 2047 is immense," said Pranav Adani during his keynote speech. He emphasized that achieving this milestone will require innovation, inclusive development, and a renewed focus on infrastructure, energy, trade, and policy.
Focus on Climate Change, Energy, and Trade
Highlighting the role of the Chintan Research Foundation, Adani said the think tank is tackling crucial issues such as climate change, equitable energy transition, global trade, supply chain resilience, and geopolitical shifts.
"For the past three decades, the Adani Group has been at the forefront of driving India's infrastructure growth. In the same way, we see CRF contributing through impactful research and independent policy recommendations," Adani noted.
India's Population Is Its Biggest Economic Strength
In an interaction with ANI, Pranav Adani expressed strong optimism about India's economic growth and demographic strength.
"India is in a great position right now. Our 1.4 billion people are our biggest asset," he said.
Quoting a speaker from the event, he added, "Only 50% of our population is currently contributing to GDP growth. Once the remaining 50% becomes engaged, India's real growth story will unfold. We as a group are very optimistic."
Inclusive Development Across Indian Regions
Adani also stressed the need to move policy discussions beyond the national capital and focus on regional development. "Let's move beyond Delhi. India is not just one city-it's a diverse and dynamic nation. Our research must expand to cities like Ranchi, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, the Northeast, and coastal areas. Ground-level research, local policymaker engagement, and nationwide events will help bring regional issues to national attention," he said.
Global South, Policy Narratives, and India's Role
Looking beyond India, Pranav Adani called on CRF to extend its policy insights to other developing countries.
"As the Global South rises, India must play a key role in sharing its development story. CRF can help shape policy narratives globally based on India's experience," he noted.
Adani Group Assets Abroad Are Safe
On the sidelines of the event, Adani also addressed concerns about the safety of Adani Group's international assets amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. "There are concerns, but all our assets abroad are safe. There is no need to worry," he said.
