Gold, Silver Price City-Wise On June 4: Check Latest Rates in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, & More

Gold prices eased slightly following stronger-than-expected US employment data, though uncertainty continues due to former President Donald Trump's tariff standoffs with China and the European Union (EU), ongoing geopolitical tensions stemming from the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and anticipation surrounding the upcoming US Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate decision.

Despite the short-term moderation, gold has delivered robust gains. Since January, it has offered a 25% return, and on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the figure stands at 40%.

Meanwhile, silver prices have surged past ₹1 lakh per kilogram, as investors continue to turn towards traditional safe-haven assets to shield their portfolios.

Gold and Silver Prices Today - 4 June

Prices opened in positive territory at 10 am on 4 June. According to the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold was trading at ₹96,806 per 10 grams, while silver stood at ₹1,01,412 per kg, according to a Mint report.

As per the Indian Bullion Association (IBA), 24-carat gold was priced at ₹97,940 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold at ₹89,778 per 10 grams. Silver (999 Fine) was quoted at ₹1,01,710 per kg.

Note that retail gold and silver prices may vary slightly, as jewellers typically add making charges, GST, and other taxes to the final bill.
