Commercial LPG Prices Cut By Rs 7 Ahead Of Union Budget, First Reduction After Five Consecutive Hikes
Oil marketing companies reduced the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders on Saturday, cutting the rate for a 19-kg cylinder by ₹7, effective immediately.
In Delhi, the new retail price is ₹1,797, down from ₹1,804.

The price reduction comes just ahead of the Union Budget, which finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present in Parliament on Saturday.
According to the IOCL website, the previous prices in other cities were ₹1,911 in Kolkata, ₹1,756 in Mumbai, and ₹1,966 in Chennai.
This follows an earlier reduction in commercial LPG prices on January 1.
Meanwhile, the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has been reduced by 1.5%, or ₹1,401.37 per kilolitre, bringing it down to ₹90,455.47 per kl in Delhi. This latest cut follows two months of price increases.
Commercial LPG prices, commonly used in hotels and restaurants, have also been reduced by ₹14.5, with a 19-kg cylinder now costing ₹1,804 in Delhi.
This marks the first price cut after five consecutive hikes, during which rates had risen to ₹1,966 in Chennai, ₹1,911 in Kolkata, and ₹1,756 in Mumbai.
