MP: Shivraj's wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan richer than hubby!

's wife Sadhna Singh is a 'richie rich' woman.

According to a report, there has been a dramatic rise in her assets in past five years.

In the affidavit submitted to electoral officers on Tuesday, Chouhan stated that his net income after deducting income tax is Rs 17.12 lakh while his wife Sadhna Singh's income is Rs 20.5 lakh.

The powerful couple jointly owns cumulative assets of immovable and movable properties worth Rs 6.26 crore out of which Shivraj's property worth is reported to be only Rs 2.4 crore as compared to his wife's assets of Rs 3.8 crore.

In Sadhna's kitty, there is at least one warehouse, three greenhouses and a poly house in Vidisha district while hubby Shivraj's immovable assets have remained almost 'static' with only an increase in market value.

In 2008, Sadhna's bank balance was of Rs 1.8 lakh but in 2013, her account possesses Rs 8.6 lakh. On the other hand, Shivraj's account had Rs 10.5 lakh at the time of last assembly elections with only a marginal increase of Rs 1 lakh in 2013.

The leap in the immovable assets of Shivraj and Sadhna is 64% and 140% respectively.

As per the chief minister's affidavit, the net worth of his immovable assets is Rs 44.32 lakh while his wife's net worth is Rs 24.71 lakh.
