MP Govt Employees To Get 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) Hike
Madhya Pradesh government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of state government employees by 4 per cent, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
This announcement was made at a mass marriage function at Gillor village in Sehore district on Friday evening, according to a report in PTI. This move comes ahead of the state Assembly elections scheduled by the year-end.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will increase the DA by four per cent to bring it on par with the one offered by the Centre.
On the other hand, the polls for the 230-member Assembly in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state are likely to be held in November this year. In 2018, the state had witnessed a hung assembly after the Congress emerged as the single largest party by bagging 114 seats while the saffron party won 109 seats.
The grand old party had formed the government with senior leader Kamal Nath as the Chief Minister of the state. However, this government collapsed in March 2020 after MLAs loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia revolted, paving the way for BJP's Chouhan to return as the Chief Minister.
