Bhopal, Nov 20: With just four days left for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Shahdol district in poll-bound state on Wednesday.

While addressing a massive public gathering in Shahdol, Modi said, "I am not here only to ask for votes, this district is a Tirth Kshetra (religious place) for me."

Modi showered praises on state Chief MInister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for development work, for giving opportunities to the youth and building medical and engineering colleges.

"People are angry with the Congress. They want to punish it", Modi said.

"Chouhan government has worked towards every section of the society. The people of Madhya Pradesh consider Shivrajji as their own and consider him as part of their family", he said.

"In whichever state the BJP is in power it has put on efforts for the development of tribal communities", he further said.

In a scathing attack on the opposition Congress, Modi said, "people are angry with the Congress. They want to punish it."

"Congress feels by taking name of poor 50 times a day they become compassionate for the poor,"he added.
