MP assembly polls: 11 women candidates face criminal charges

According to a report, the 11 women in question have charges of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and criminal intimidation against them. The charges were brought to fore by non-profit ADR who scanned their affidavits.
Out of eleven women facing charges, top three in the list are Congress contestant Dr Kalpana Parulekar from Mahidpur seat in Ujjain, BSP candidate Rekha Chandan Rai from Gwalior and Samajwadi Jan Parishad candidate Shamim Meghani Modi from Harda.
11 women are facing charges of murder, kidnapping and criminal intimidation.
Parulekar is accused of criminal intimidation (IPC Section-506) and has charges related to counterfeiting devices used to 'authenticate' documents.
Rekha Chandan Rai, who has 10 criminal charges pending against her and Shamim Meghani has six criminal charges.
