Ahead of assembly polls, BJP's 'Lotus' gives MP Congress a nightmare!

bjp
Jabalpur, Oct 29: Lotus, the beautiful flower, is India's national flower, besides being the party symbol of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But ahead of the crucial assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the opposition Congress is irked by the presence of lotus flowers in the poll-bound state, a report said on Tuesday.

If the poll survey figures are to believed, then its quite obvious for the MP Congress to get such nightmares as the statistics clearly indicate that the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan- led BJP government will retain power for the third time in the upcoming polls.

With assembly elections less than a month away, the Congress has asked the Election Commission "to hide lotus ponds from the eyes of voters", in a desperate attempt to keep voters away from the "party symbol of the BJP".

The MP Congress reportedly urged the Election Commission for suitable directions to cover all the lotus ponds.

Lotus blooms fully in water bodies of Mahakaushal, Malwa and Bundelkhand.

Reacting to the bizarre demand of the Congress, the BJP spokesperson Vishwas Sarang said, ""It shows the mental bankruptcy and despondency of Congress. It means people should start covering their hands because it is the symbol of the party."

During the autumn season, the lotus flowers bloom fully in water bodies of Mahakaushal, Malwa and Bundelkhand regions.

While giving a reference to the power of the Lotus at the Hunkar rally in Patna, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi told the audience, "Nation wants change and that the more the people will throw dirt on the BJP and him, the more the Lotus will shine."
