Woman Scams Auto Driver Of Rs 23,400 In Bengaluru By Showing Fake Payment Receipt
A woman in Bengaluru stole Rs 23,400 from a disabled auto driver by using a fake payment trick. The auto driver, Shivakumar, was driving his auto when he overheard a woman talking on the phone about needing to pay her college fees. The woman asked Shivakumar to take her to PES College, and he agreed.
When they arrived at the college, the woman asked Shivakumar for his phone number so she could pay him through PhonePe. Shivakumar gave her his number, and she then told him that she needed Rs 23,400 to pay her fees. She said that she would transfer the money to his account, but she instead showed him a fake payment receipt and then ran away into the college.

Shivakumar realised that he had been scammed, and he filed a police complaint. The police are investigating the incident, but they have not yet made any arrests.
This incident is a reminder to be careful when dealing with strangers, especially when it comes to money. It is also important to be aware of the latest scams that are being used to target people. If you are ever asked to pay for something in cash, be sure to get a receipt and check it carefully before handing over any money.
