Renuka Swamy Murder Case: Pregnant Wife Slams Darshan, Demands Justice
The body of Renuka Swamy (33), allegedly murdered within the Kamakshipalya police station limits in Bengaluru, was brought to his hometown Chitradurga on Tuesday night. His wife, Sahana, demanded justice soon after.
Kannada cine actor Darshan was arrested in connection with Renuka Swamy's murder. The victim's mortal remains were transported from Bengaluru to his house at VRS Layout on Turavanur Road in Chitradurga. Relatives and residents paid their respects.

Later, the last rites were performed at the Veerashaiva burial ground on Jogimatti Road in the city. Sahana, three months pregnant, expressed her desire for justice for her late husband. "We got married a year ago, and I am expecting a baby. My husband's death in such circumstances has shattered me. How can I move forward in life?" she lamented.
She mentioned that her husband had not informed her about any issues. "My husband called me on June 8 afternoon. If he had sent derogatory messages on social media, he should have been warned. Why was it necessary to kill him?" she questioned tearfully. "Whether he is an actor (Darshan) or a star, I want justice," she insisted.
Reacting to the incident, former MLA Basavarajan S K condemned the actions of actor Darshan and his gang as the most heinous crime. "This is not just the murder of one person, but of humanity," he asserted. "We have courts and police. They have no right to take the law into their hands. All those involved in the murder case must be brought to justice. An impartial investigation must be conducted," he emphasized, calling for a judicial probe into the case due to Darshan's involvement.
"The people of the Veerashaiva Lingayat community will stage a protest in Chitradurga on June 13 to demand justice for Renuka Swamy," he announced.
