Karnataka Weather Alert: Is This The Last Day For Bengaluru Rains This Month?

Bengaluru residents woke up to a misty morning on Wednesday, a welcome change after scorching temperatures. The city, along with other parts of Karnataka, has experienced a drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures thanks to the arrival of May showers.

As the government marks its one-year milestone, heavy rains have disrupted the routine city rounds of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Torrential downpours have been reported in various parts of Bengaluru, including Silk Board, HSR Layout, Town Hall, KR Market, Corporation, and KR Circle. The current weather in Silicon City is pleasantly cool, with forecasts predicting more rain over the next two days.

Is Bengaluru in for a Wet Spell

However, there is a possibility of rain returning around May 30th, coinciding with the onset of the Southwest Monsoon.'

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its weather forecast for Bengaluru, predicting a mix of rain and cloudy skies over the next few days.

Udupi Enjoys Active Thundershowers

Meanwhile, thunderstorms have been spotted across Udupi, making this one of the most active thunderstorm seasons for the Karavali areas, all thanks to a Low-Pressure Area (LPA) in the Arabian Sea.

This weather phenomenon has intensified the wind flow from the Ghats towards the sea, preventing the sea breeze from halting the descent of thunderstorms towards the plains.
