Residents have also raised concerns about the city's infrastructure, particularly its ability to withstand heavy rains. One resident posted, "North #Bangalore is still within city limits, then how come we don't see the patchwork (Bengaluru is famous for) happening in & around Jakkur? Also, for how long will this last? Last time, during one heavy rain, the patchwork broke. Good quality roads, no corruption - alien concepts?"

Another resident voiced frustration, saying, "A 2-minute rain is causing flood-like situations. Garbage is lingering on every corner of the streets. Clean this mess first and then ask for development projects."
Less than a month ago, Bengaluru was hit by heavy rains that caused widespread disruption across the city. The torrential downpour led to severe waterlogging, crippling traffic for hours, especially in key areas. Despite efforts by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bengaluru Traffic Police to clear the roads, many commuters were stuck for hours in traffic jams. Manyata Tech Park, located near Hebbal, was completely submerged, prompting IT companies to advise employees to work from home temporarily.
The rains also highlighted the city's persistent infrastructure issues. Social media users expressed frustration over the poor condition of roads, particularly on the Outer Ring Road, a major hub for multinational companies. While Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar directed BBMP officials to address the city's pothole problem, these issues remain prevalent in various parts of Bengaluru.
