Karnataka Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Priyanka Gandhi, Amit Shah To Woo Voters Of Bengaluru South Today
With only a couple of days left for the second phase of polling, Congress and BJP are leaving no stone unturned and trying their best to woo the voters in their party's favour. Today, Bengaluru's temperature is expected to go high as two big leaders, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will do public meetings and roadshows in the same constituency, Bengaluru South.
According to the schedule shared by political parties, Priyanka Gandhi Wadra will hold meetings in Chitradurga and Bengaluru's HSR Layout, while Amit Shah will also seek votes and support for the saffron front candidate in the same constituency.

For the high-voltage battle, Congress placed the bet on 68-year-old BN Chandrappa against BJP candidate Govind Karjol in the Chitradurga constituency. Chandrappa has earlier served as deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and now has been promoted to contest a parliament seat.
Priyanka Gandhi will also address a public meeting in Bengaluru's Atal Bihari Vajpayee Play Ground, the Bengaluru South constituency, in the evening in support of Congress candidate Sowmya Reddy, who is taking on BJP MP and Youth Wing president Tejasvi Surya.
On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah's roadshow has been scheduled at Swami Vivekananda Circle in Bengaluru South constituency at the same time.
The second phase of voting will be held in 89 constituencies across 13 states and Union Territories on April 25, 2024.
A day ago, BJP expelled Karnataka's heavyweight leader KS Eshwarappa for the next 6 years after he announced his candidature from the Shivmogga seat as an Independent.
"I have decided to contest as a non-party candidate, I still have hope, I do not fear any expulsion. I will contest elections and win and will go back to BJP again. I have competed five times with the lotus sign," Eshwarappa said.
