Karnataka HC quashes chargesheet against Sadananda Gowda's son

contradictions in the allegations made by the complainant led to High Court's order

The Karnataka High Court on Friday quashed the chargesheeet filed against Karthik Gowda, son of union minister, D Sadananda Gowda. The court observed that there were contradictions in the allegations made by the complainant and hence the chargesheet was being quashed. A case had been filed against Karthik by an actress accusing him of rape.

The court observed that while the actress had initially filed a case of rape against Karthik Gowda, she had approached the family court stating that Karthik Gowda was her husband. The court also observed that there was no evidence to prove charges of cheating as claimed by the woman.
