Condemning the recent attacks on its members and pro-right wing activists, Karnataka BJP has called for a statewide bandh on November 8. Senior leaders of the BJP have directed all district units to protest across the state on Tuesday against killings of BJP, RSS and Sangh parivar workers in Karnataka over the last 2 years. The statewide protest is also aimed at reiterating BJP's opposition to government celebrating Tipu Jayanthi on November 10.
Senior leaders of the BJP demand that the state government ban organisations like KFD, SDPI and PFI. Recent cases of RSS worker Rudresh murder's in Bengaluru and Magali Ravi's death in Mysuru have given ammunition to the BJP to question the state government on the prevalent law and order scenario.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha on Saturday had called for bandh in 4 taluks of Mysuru following the death of BJP worker Magali Ravi near Periyapatna. The MP alleged that it was a political murder and called for a bandh in Hunsur, Periyapatna, K R Nagar and H D Kote on Monday.
