Darshan's Third Day in Jail: Did Kannada Actor's Wife Vijayalakshmi Visit Him At Parappana Agrahara?

Actor Darshan, who is currently an under-trial prisoner in the Renukaswamy murder case, was visited by his wife, Vijayalakshmi, and actor Vinod Prabhar at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru on the third day. The jail staff extended special hospitality to Vijayalakshmi during her visit, raising concerns about possible preferential treatment being given to celebrities.

Darshan, along with two others, is currently housed in the high-security section of Parappana Agrahara Main Jail. This section consists of six rooms, each heavily secured and reserved for high-profile cases, including those involving the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and bomb blast accused. Darshan's room is strictly off-limits to ordinary inmates, with only security personnel and authorised visitors allowed access.

Vijayalakshmi received special hospitality from the jail staff during her visit. She and her son, who accompanied her, stopped their car a short distance from the jail upon seeing media cameras. A police constable from the Parappana Agrahara Jail met them and offered special arrangements for their entry into the jail, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, Actor Vinod Prabhakar, who is also a close friend of Darshan, visited Parappa's Agrahara Jail to see him, according to Vistara News. Both Darshan and Vinod Prabhakar acted together in the movie 'Navagraha.' Vinod Prabhakar followed proper procedure for jail visits, adhering to the ban on mobile phones before entering the premises.

Moreover, the police have requested the transfer of some accused, including Darshan, to Tumkur Jail. This request, aimed at ensuring the safety of the accused in the Renuka Swamy murder case, will be heard in the 24th ACMM court on June 24. Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar made the request upon Darshan's arrival at Parappana Agrahara Jail, but the hearing was adjourned to June 24, with strong objections from Darshan's lawyer.

For the unversed, Kannada actor Darshan, along with his gang, is currently in Parappana Agrahara Jail as under-trial prisoners in the Renuka Swamy murder case. The case stems from the murder of Chitradurga's Renukaswamy after he made lewd comments to actress Pavitra Gowda on Instagram.
