Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his associates have been arrested by the police on charges of murdering Renuka Swamy from Chitradurga. Along with Darshan, the police have also detained Pavitra Gowda for questioning in connection with the case. This development has caused significant distress to Darshan's wife, Vijayalakshmi, who deactivated her Instagram account today due to the emotional turmoil but not before she unfollowed Darshan's accounts on Tuesday evening.

Following the arrest, Darshan's son, Vineesh Thoogudeepa, has broken his silence and responded to the situation. Vineesh took to Instagram to express his disappointment and frustration over the negative comments directed at his father.

In his Instagram story, Vineesh wrote, "Thank you all for making bad comments about my father and using obscene language. I am a 15-year-old boy. You didn't consider that I also have feelings. At such a difficult time, my mother and father need your support. Your curses will not change anything." His heartfelt message has quickly gone viral on social media, garnering widespread attention and support.

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his close friend Pavithra Gowda were arrested on Monday for allegedly plotting the murder of Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old man from Bengaluru, who had reportedly sent Gowda lewd messages on social media.

The police, who have made 17 arrests in connection with the case, stated that an associate of Darshan (47) lured Renukaswamy to Bengaluru from Chitradurga on Saturday under the pretense of meeting the renowned actor. Upon arrival, Darshan's men allegedly kidnapped, tortured, and murdered Renukaswamy, who investigators say had sent derogatory messages to Gowda (35) regarding her relationship with the married actor.

Why Did Darshan's assosciate Allegedly Kill Renuka Swamy?

Renuka Swamy made vulgar comments to Pavitra Gowda, a close friend of Darshan, triggering the actor's anger. Reports suggest that Renuka, a huge fan of Darshan, made derogatory remarks about Pavithra Gowda to protect Darshan's marriage. However, matters escalated when Renuka crossed the line, sending a lewd picture of his private parts to Pavithra, accompanied by the message, "I am no less."

After Renuka sent abusive messages to Pavithra, she informed Darshan. Learning that Renuka lived in Chitradurga, 200 km from Bangalore, Darshan asked Raghavendra, who runs a fan club, to bring Renuka to Bengaluru.

Once he arrived in the city, Renuka was taken to a shed in RR Nagar, where he was assaulted and subsequently died. His body was later dumped in Summanahalli.

Meanwhile, some Kannada communities believe that Darshan acted in anger and should not be judged harshly, arguing that it is prudent to wait for the court's verdict before arriving at any conclusions.

The case is also gaining political traction, with increasing pressure on the Chief Minister to address it.
