'Reddy laundered black money' alleges Karnataka driver in suicide note

In a 12-page handwritten suicide letter, Ramesh has accused Janardhana Reddy and Bharatiya Janata Party MP and Reddy's confidante Sriramulu of exchanging high value notes worth crores

Ramesh Gowda, who worked as driver for Karnataka Administrative Services officer Bheema Naik, was found dead in Karnataka's Maddur area.

In his suicide note, Gowda has claimed knowledge of how Janardhana Reddy converted black money for his daughter's lavish wedding. He further alleges that he was threatened by Reddy and Naik to keep mum about the issue.

In a 12-page handwritten suicide letter, Ramesh has accused Janardhana Reddy and Bharatiya Janata Party MP and Reddy's confidante Sriramulu of exchanging high value notes worth crores with Rs 20, 50, 100 and the newly released 2,000 notes along with Naik's help.

Ramesh, in his letter, adds that he was threatened by Naik and by Reddy's men when he tried to expose the corruption.

Ramesh has accused Naik, who is a special land acquisition officer, of amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income is malfeasant ways. The note also elaborates many of the locations where Sriramulu, Reddy and Naik used to meet.

In the note Gowda also alleged that Naik received a commission for converting Reddy's black money for his daughter's wedding.

The letter, dated December 6, were handwritten and were recovered from the room where Gowda was found dead. The Maddur police have registered a case.

Sriramulu rubbished the allegations and said that Gowda has unnecessarily dragged his name into the controversy after a personal falling out with Naik.

FIR against KAS officer

The Mandya police have registered an FIR against KAS officer Bheema Naik following the suicide of Ramesh Gowda. A case of abetment to suicide has been filed against the officer. Bheema Naik has been accused of corruption by Ramesh in his death note.
The death note not only accuses Bheema Naik, a special Land acquisition in Bengaluru, of being corrupt but also of helping Janardhana Reddy convert crores of rupees for his daughter's wedding. In his 12 page suicide note, Ramesh has also accused Bheema Naik of bribing Janardhana Reddy to make him a candidate for assembly elections in 2018.
