The pilots involved have been temporarily removed from duty as an internal investigation is underway.

Just days earlier, a similar incident occurred involving an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. This aircraft, destined for London, crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad on June 12. It also issued a mayday call before crashing into residential buildings and bursting into flames.
