In This 2-Month Old Viral Clip, Teary-Eyed Vijay Raghavendra Remembers Spandana's Unwavering Support

As the news of Spandana Vijay Raghavendra's death came as a shock to the people of Karnataka, a video of him remembering her unwavering support has now gone viral.

The actor is seen standing next to his wife Spandana along with Shivaraj Kumar and Geetha Shivarajkumar in the video. It is a clip from a reality show aired on Zee Kannada.

In the video, Vijay Raghavendra is seen getting emotional while talking about his wife and her contribution to his life.

The actor is seen weeping in the clip. Apparently, this is one of the few rare occasions where she came on stage with him.

This clip has now gone viral as fans and their well-wishers bid a tearful farewell to her.

Spandana (aged 44) had gone on a trip to Thailand's capital with her cousins, and Raghavendra too had joined them after completing his shooting schedules.

"Last night she went to sleep and did not get up in the morning. We believe it (death) is due to (complications arising from) low blood pressure," actor Sri Murali, brother of Vijay Raghavendra, told reporters here, quoting his brother Raghavendra who called him up from Bangkok.

Spandana is the daughter of retired police officer B K Shivaram and niece of Congress MLC B K Hariprasad. She had acted in a movie 'Apoorva', making a guest appearance.

Hariprasad said: "Spandana did not get up in the morning. They are saying it's a heart attack".

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and several others expressed shock over her death and offered condolences.

Meanwhile, the family sources have said that her body will arrive in Bengaluru on Tuesday and her last rites will be performed late in the evening.
