Bengaluru School Bus Targeted By Angry Mob In Bengaluru’s Electronic City

A school bus in Bengaluru was violently attacked by a mob after the bus allegedly overtook their car. The incident occurred last week in Electronic City, raising serious concerns about the safety of school children.

A viral video on social media captures the mob pulling the driver out of the bus and assaulting him on the road, while the bus, carrying several school children, caused a traffic jam.

According to an X handle named Karnataka Portfolio, the attack took place around 4 PM. The post described how a group of 6 to 8 individuals, traveling in a Scorpio, launched a vicious assault on the school bus, which operates on Route 35 for Treamis School.

The video also shows the mob using metal rods to smash the bus's windows, creating a frightening and hazardous situation for the children inside.

Bengaluru Police have confirmed that an FIR has been filed against the attackers. "An FIR has been registered at Hebbagodi Police Station in Bengaluru Rural District, and the investigation is ongoing," stated the police.

A concerned parent from the school commented, "It's frightening that this happened at my son's school. The vehicle has black-tinted windows, which raises questions about how the attackers managed to evade detection. We are hoping for the strictest measures to be taken."

Additionally, some users criticized the behavior of school bus drivers in Bengaluru, citing incidents of reckless driving. One user noted, "Many school bus drivers drive very rashly. There was even an incident last year in Munnekolala where a child was run over by a school bus. This aggressive driving reflects poorly on the school owners as well."
