Bengaluru Pub Molestation Case: IT Professional Arrested for Assaulting Woman at Hard Rock Cafe

An incident of alleged molestation occurred at a popular pub in central Bengaluru, involving a 27-year-old woman and an unknown man. The accused, identified as Anurag, an IT professional, was apprehended in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

The First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Cubbon Park Police Station details the event on June 21 at the 'Hard Rock Cafe’ on St. Mark's Road. The complainant, also working in IT, reported entering the venue around 9:30 pm.

Incident Details and Police Action

Approximately half an hour after her arrival, a stranger approached her with a casual "cheers." Later, around 10:45 pm, while she was at the bar counter for water, the same man allegedly engaged her in conversation and touched her inappropriately on her chest while greeting her.

Disturbed by this encounter, she promptly reported it to the police. Following an investigation, officers identified Anurag as the suspect. He had no prior connection to the victim. A case was registered against him.

Ongoing Investigation

Anurag was traced to Andhra Pradesh and subsequently arrested. The police are continuing their investigation into this matter to gather more information and evidence.
