Bengaluru: How Forest Dept Trying To Capture The Leopard?

The CCTV footage captured a leopard's presence at various locations, including the car garage, apartment premises, near the lift, compound, and parking lot during the early hours of October 29.

Local residents and beat police also reported sightings of the leopard. Despite the forest department officers conducting a search operation, they were unable to locate the elusive wild animal.

The Hunt One

The hunt to capture the big cat is on with the Forest Department forming five teams and utilizing drone technology to survey the fourteen-acre territory in their quest to locate the leopard.

Using the drone cameras, they have executed surveillance operations across Kudlu, Singasandra, Somasundarapalya, Hospalya, HSR, Parangipalya, and Bandepalya and placed cages at multiple points.

The forest department has also asked the localities not to come out alone during the nights and stay vigilant until the animal is captured.

The officials have continued to gather information from farmers who have had encounters with the leopard. Forest guards have conducted patrols in the area throughout the night, uncovering footprints and other signs indicating the presence of the leopard.
