Bengaluru Engineering Student Held For Secretly Filming Women's Restroom In College
A 21-year-old engineering student was arrested on Friday for allegedly filming videos inside the women's washroom at his college, located on the western outskirts of Bengaluru.
The suspect, identified as Kushal K, is a final-year computer science student and resides in Chikkagollarahatti near Magadi.

The incident unfolded when a student noticed Kushal's mobile phone positioned near a washroom cubicle and raised an alarm, reported Deccan Herald.
"She screamed, attracting nearby students," according to a police officer.
Upon arriving at the scene, the students found a cubicle locked, but there was no response when they asked the person inside to open the door, sparking suspicion.
The students forcibly broke open the door and discovered Kushal hiding inside. His phone was immediately confiscated.
"We took Kushal to the principal and informed him that he had been recording videos in the washroom. He admitted to it," said a student, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m., while most students were attending classes. As news of the situation spread, hundreds of students left their classrooms to protest, demanding strict action against Kushal.
Two police platoons arrived shortly after to manage the protest, and college authorities handed Kushal over to law enforcement.
An investigating officer revealed that two videos, recorded between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m., were found on Kushal's phone.
The device is now being sent for forensic analysis. One student mentioned that the phone was discovered after she heard a notification sound, which led her to spot the camera in the washroom.
Police have registered an FIR under Section 77 of the BNS Act, which deals with voyeurism and the violation of women's privacy.
