Bengaluru college shooting: Girls insulted me by calling 'Uncle', says killer Mahesh
Bengaluru, April 6: After committing the deadly crime, 38-year-old Mahesh K, who shot dead a girl and injured her friend on late Tuesday night, March 31, inside the hostel of Pragathi PU College in east Bengaluru, went to a nearby railway station and had tea with snacks, a news report said.
As per an article published in TOI, investigating officials said, "after killing Gauthami, Mahesh went to KR Puram railway station, sat there for a few minutes and then he had tea and biscuits." [How the killer planned gruesome murder to kill college girl]

Sister's land-lord alerted police
His sister's land-lord knew that Mahesh was working in Pragathi PU College and he had also watched the news on TV Channels. When he got to know that Mahesh is hiding at his sister's place, then he immediately called the PCR. [Killer arrested, was trying to flee to his native]
After getting the lead, Kadugodi police officials reached the spot and arrested Mahesh, who earlier tried to mislead them.
Mahesh had an image of a 'soft-spoken' and 'friendly' person
A police team sccaned the past history of Mahesh by visiting his native place in Kendalubayalu, his school and college. People who knew Mahesh described him as a 'soft-spoken' and 'friendly' person. Mahesh also holds no criminal record.
Girls called me Uncle, says Mahesh
During the interrogation, Mahesh told police that girls used to call him 'Uncle', that made him feel insulted and frustrated.
Mahesh in police custody till April 10
Bengaluru police commissioner MN Reddi told media that Mahesh, who has not yet opened up on he procured the revolver, will be taken to his native in Agumbe for further questioning.
Sociopath Mahesh, who was about to escape to his native Agumbe, Teerthahalli taluk in Shivamogga district, was arrested by the Kadugodi police officers on Wednesday, April 1.
Mahesh, who was working as an office-attendant in the same college from past two years, had fired at Gauthami R for spurning his advances and rejecting his love. Mahesh had used a country-made pistol to execute his gruesome plan.
Mahesh procured pistol from KR Puram?
During grilling, Mahesh reportedly told police officials that he procured pistol from two North Indians in KR Puram by paying Rs 5,000.
Gauthami was a student of second year pre-university course at Pragathi school in the city's eastern suburb and was staying in the girls hostel as she hailed from Pavagada in Tumakuru district, about 70 km from Bengaluru. [Office attendant guns down college girl]
Gauthami died while Sirisha, who underwent plastic surgery on Wednesday, is recovering at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru.
