Bengaluru: BMTC Bus Conductor Beats Up Passenger In Viral Video
In a shocking incident captured on video, a BMTC bus driver was seen beating up a passenger in Bengaluru. The altercation reportedly occurred on Tuesday during a journey from Trinity Circle to Shivaji Nagar on BMTC Bus Route No. 314. The trouble began when a male passenger and the bus conductor got into a heated argument.
Reports say that the confrontation quickly escalated after both the passenger and conductor allegedly used abusive language. Tempers flared, and the conductor slapped the passenger, sparking outrage from those who saw the video online.

Social media users expressed their dismay over the incident. One user sarcastically commented, "Wow, amazing people. No one wants them to stop. Amazing. Bad culture." Another referenced Gandhi Jayanti, quoting the Mahatma's famous line about the importance of customers: "A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him."
Others voiced concerns about the state of customer service and how incidents like these reflect poorly on government services. "Customer service? What happened to that? Plus, it's a BMTC-run bus service. Salaries come from the same customer's pockets-taxpayers. And brilliant post-sale support he has received. Others are just bystanders, like in any other atrocity against the common man in India," one netizen wrote.
Another user questioned the rising violence in Bengaluru, saying, "What's happening in Bangalore nowadays?" A fifth commenter tagged a local politician, writing, "@tejasvisurya not able to understand how they've become so violent these days!"
Some users pointed fingers at the state government, with one commenting, "Thanks to the Congress government. Their freebies have caused these conductors to stop caring. Hence the growing frustration."
Second Shocking Incident: Conductor Stabbed at ITPL Bus Stop
The outrage over the initial incident was compounded by another violent episode involving BMTC staff. On the evening of October 1st, a conductor was brutally stabbed at the ITPL bus stop near Whitefield. Yogesh, the conductor of a Volvo bus (KA-57-F0015), was attacked by an unknown assailant in front of horrified passengers.
It is said that the attacker stabbed Yogesh two or three times before grabbing a hammer from the bus, smashing the glass, and acting erratically. Terrified passengers screamed and fled the bus as the situation spiralled out of control.
Yogesh, who sustained critical injuries, has been admitted to Vaidehi Hospital and is currently fighting for his life.
These back-to-back incidents have left many residents of Bengaluru shaken, raising concerns about both passenger safety and the growing frustration among public service employees.
However, Oneinda cannot independently verify the authenticity of the videos.
