Will Aishwarya DKS Hegde Join Politics?

DK Suresh is the sole Congress MP from Karnataka, while in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections, the state was dominated by the BJP, which secured 25 out of 28 seats. Aisshwarya DKS Hegde expressed confidence that she would celebrate with her uncle on June 4, focusing on the country's growth and its implications for individuals rather than the Congress's prospects in the Lok Sabha elections, as per ANI reports.

In 2021, Aisshwarya was married to Amartya Hegde, the son of late Cafe Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha and grandson of BJP leader SM Krishna. As voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha began on Friday, first-time voters were urged by DK Shivakumar to "go for a change" given the BJP's decade-long tenure at the Centre, emphasizing the need to give his party, the Congress, an opportunity.

"It is expected that Karnataka is going to poll; very significant results are anticipated, and the populace is quite content with our delivery on our promises made in the last elections. Women, irrespective of their party affiliations, are all in favor of us, and I express my gratitude to all of them. To the youth of this country, particularly the first-time voters, I must emphasize that Congress has presented a compelling manifesto. Change is essential; you have provided 10 years, and now let's embrace change," remarked DK Shivakumar, as reported by Hindustan Times.

He also stated with confidence that the Congress will surpass 20 seats this time in the state. Earlier on Friday, Tejasvi Surya, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from the Bengaluru South constituency, cast his vote in Bengaluru and suggested that the Congress might not secure more than 30 seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

Karnataka is witnessing voting on 14 seats on Friday during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. The second phase includes 88 Lok Sabha constituencies across 13 States/Union Territory, including 13 in Rajasthan, 20 in Kerala, eight in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, five each in Assam and Bihar, six in Madhya Pradesh, three each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, and one each in Tripura, Manipur, and Jammu & Kashmir, as per media reports.
