IndiGo Cancels Dozens of Flights at Bengaluru Airport for Second Day

IndiGo has cancelled dozens of domestic services at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru for a second straight day. On 3 December, 42 flights were cancelled, with 22 arrivals and 20 departures dropped from the schedule, after 20 IndiGo flights were already cancelled on 2 December.

The disruption has affected several major routes. Cancelled arrivals included flights from Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, Kolkata and Lucknow. Departures to Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad were also removed. All affected flights were domestic, leaving many passengers adjusting last-minute travel plans across these busy city pairs.

IndiGo flights cancellation impact at Kempegowda International Airport

IndiGo linked the Bengaluru flight cancellations and delays to a mix of technical and operational factors, along with crowding at airports. In a detailed statement, the airline said: "We have had several unavoidable flight delays and some cancellations in the past few days due to various reasons, including technology issues, airport congestion, and operational requirements. Our teams are working diligently to ensure that operations normalise as soon as possible. Furthermore, we are offering alternate flight options or refunds to affected customer, as applicable. We regret the inconvenience caused inconvenience caused to our valued customers due to these disruptions. The carrier has not specified when schedules at Kempegowda International Airport will stabilise, but has indicated that teams are working to restore regular operations. For now, travellers on IndiGo domestic services from or to Bengaluru on routes such as Delhi, Mumbai or Goa face continued uncertainty over last-minute changes.
