Gold prices in Bengaluru opened the week on a softer note on Monday, April 27, 2026, with a marginal rise seen across both international and domestic markets. The 24-carat rate moved up to ₹15,442 per gram, gaining ₹38, with 10 grams priced at ₹1,54,420, an increase of ₹380. Likewise, 22-carat gold edged higher to ₹14,155 per gram, up ₹35, while 10 grams climbed to ₹1,41,550, marking a ₹350 rise. In the 18-carat segment, prices increased to ₹11,582 per gram, up ₹29, with 10 grams costing ₹1,15,820, reflecting a ₹290 gain. The overall movement points to consistent local buying interest, supporting prices even as international trends remain subdued.

International Market Sees Mild Dip

In the global market, spot gold was priced at $4,694.26 per ounce, marking a decline of about 0.3% in early trade. Futures also reflected a muted trend, hovering around $4,739.30.

The dip is largely attributed to a stronger US dollar, which typically reduces gold's attractiveness as an investment. Additionally, persistent inflation concerns, fuelled by elevated oil prices, have created a complex environment where investors are balancing between safe-haven demand and currency pressures.

Despite the global softness, gold prices in India continue to stay close to peak levels, supported by robust wedding season demand.
