The Forest Department has issued an advisory urging residents of Gattahalli and surrounding areas to exercise caution when venturing outdoors, especially during twilight hours. They have also advised people to avoid leaving food waste or garbage outside their homes, as this could attract the leopard.
"We are doing everything we can to capture the leopard and ensure the safety of the residents," said a forest official. "We request the public to cooperate with us and report any sightings immediately."
It is important to note that while leopard sightings in Bengaluru are uncommon, they are not unheard of. In recent years, there have been several reports of leopards entering the city, prompting concerns about public safety and the need for better wildlife management.
