Aley art and cultural club for Acharya Institutes inaugurated (Pics)

Bangalore, Sept 26: The art and cultural club of Acharya Institutes "ALEY" was inaugurated in a unique way on September 21 with the performance of "Dollu kunitha" (major art form of Karnataka), a skit which renders a message of creating awareness on the racism and a dance to a fusion mix.

Much waited event at last opened up in its own style. Students have created week long suspense tease campaign through out the campus as well as in Facebook. Most of the students started scratching their head. On the day sharp at 12.30 from the four corners of the campus students started playing drums and others started following them like a rat.

The club encourages young talents and helps in their development

By the time all four procession reached the venue students were gathered near the stage. In a span of 25 minutes, students performed Tiger dance, skit, mime, beat box, dance and the cracker show. In a unique way international students inaugurates the club by unwilling the screen which follows the 'pichkari'.

The club which encourage young talents and plays very important role for students in building a strong role in theatre activities, songs, dance, design, literature activities, painting etc;.The students of "Aley" said that they have been performing on a regular basis. "This time, we wanted to do something big and that is how "Aley" is formed. "Aley" will be a learning platform for all the young talents who wish to make their name in art and cultural sector.

"We were aware that it would be a challenge to capture the interest of the audience and make them to join the club and we did our best and we are hoping the good turn out by the students and will try our best to take the club to the international level," said, Dilip a final year M. COM student, also a theater personality and one of the coordinators of the club.

Speaking on the occasion Santhosh Ananthapura, manager, Corporate & Media Relations, Acharya Institutes and also Cultural Secretary of "Aley" club said that such activities will boast the enthusiasm of students and gives a platform to the young talents to come out with a creative ideas in the field of art and culture and even a forum to represent the college in national and international events.

He also congratulated the students and the faculty coordinators for their efforts for giving equal importance to cultural activities in their academics.
