Bengaluru, Nov 26: A day after Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced its draw of lots for its flagship Housing scheme 2014, the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) will also allot 947 flats through lottery on Wednesday, Nov 26.

According to news reports, the BDA will allot 947 one-bedroom flats to the applicants on the basis of the attempts they have made and as per the BDA (site allotment) rules, 1984.

The flats are located in Alur, Doddabanahalli, Gunjur, Kaniminike, Malagala, Thippasandra and Valegerahalli localities.

Fifty per cent of the total flats have been reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), the BDA statement said.

The allottees can also choose to rent out the apartments once they are in possession of the Sale Deed.

The BDA had invited applications for one-, two- and three-bedroom flats in February 2014.

In its first-ever lottery in December 2013, the BDA had allotted 3,000 flats to the applicants.
