Days after Chandrababu Naidu's TDP emerged victorious in Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024, another battle has over furniture is heating up. TDP, which earlier alleged that YSRCP chief and former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy of building a Rs 500-crore hilltop palace in Visakhapatnam as a camp office with taxpayers' money, Naidu's party in fresh allegation said Reddy stole crores for furnishings and fittings at his Tadepalli residence.

TDP won 135 seats out of 175 in assembly elections to dethrone Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Naidu Vs Reddy

These allegations made YSRCP taste their own medicine as they called TDP leader and former assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao a furniture thief when they came to power 5 years ago. This humiliation allegedly was the reason behind Kodela Siva Prasad Rao's suicide in September 2019, as claimed by his son Kodela Sivaram.

In the latest incident, TDP leader Tejaswini has lodged a complaint against YSRCP in Anantapur alleging that Ex-CM Reddy and his associates provoked Kodela Siva Prasad to end his life by humiliating him and filing baseless cases against him.

Rubbishing the allegations, a YSR Congress leader said Jagan Reddy has already written to the state government saying that he will pay for all the furniture and fittings that are on his premises.
