Andhra Breaks Tradition: YSRCP Empowers Commoners As Star Campaigners For 2024 Elections
In a groundbreaking move unprecedented in Indian political history, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy has steered away from the conventional practice of enlisting celebrities and film stars as star campaigners.
Instead, he has chosen to elevate the common people of Andhra Pradesh to the status of 'Star Campaigners' for the upcoming elections, marking a historic first in the country's political landscape.

Presenting a list of 12 individuals, ordinary citizens, to the Election Commission, the YSRCP has designated them as the official 'Star Campaigners' representing the entire populace of Andhra Pradesh.
Reflecting the party's belief that every resident of the state is a potential campaigner, these individuals, hailing from diverse backgrounds, will champion the YSRCP's cause on the ground and disseminate Jagan Mohan Reddy's message to every corner of the state.
This decision resonates with CM Jagan's earlier assertion that the true stars of his campaign are the people of Andhra Pradesh themselves, dismissing the notion of relying on external personalities for electoral success. Throughout his extensive engagements during the 'Siddham' and 'Memantha Siddham' campaigns, CM Jagan has consistently sought the support of grassroots beneficiaries, whom he regards as the backbone of his movement for good governance.
Among the selected star campaigners are homemakers, farmers, an auto driver, a tailor, and former government volunteers, each with a compelling story of transformation under the YSRCP's governance:
- Pandalaneni Sivaprasad, Avanigadda Constituency, Krishna District: A farmer whose son's educational aspirations were fulfilled through government support.
- Katari Jagadish, Anakapalli Constituency, Anakapalli District: A small-business owner whose children's education received a boost under YSRCP schemes.
- Anantha Lakshmi, Rajahmundry City Constituency, East Godavari District: A beneficiary of various government welfare programs, experiencing a significant improvement in livelihood.
- Syed Anwar, Nellore Rural, Nellore District: A supporter of educational reforms initiated by CM Jagan, aiming to amplify the message of progress.
- Challa Eswari, Mylavaram Constituency, NTR District: A former government volunteer witnessing firsthand the positive impact of welfare schemes on community development.
These individuals symbolize the transformative impact of the YSRCP's governance model on the lives of ordinary citizens, reinforcing their commitment to ensuring the party's return to power.
By entrusting the grassroots with the task of campaigning, CM Jagan's strategy aims to foster a sense of ownership and empowerment among the people, solidifying their support for the YSRCP's vision of inclusive progress.
