Crops damage cuts short Rajasthan Diwas celebrations
Jaipur, Mar 17 : Rajasthan government has cut short the seven-day Rajasthan Diwas celebrations to one day in view of the heavy losses to crops due to recent rainfall and hailstorm in the state.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje decided to celebrate the Rajasthan Day with simplicity. The festival will take place on March 30, which was earlier scheduled for a week, according to a spokesperson. She gave necessary directions to officials with this regard, he said.

The Rajasthan Diwas is celebrated every year to mark the unification of the erstwile Princely states in the region in the state of Rajasthan. The main aim of the celebration is to showcase the rich culture and tradition of the state with traditional music, dance, folk art and cuisines.
