Cardamom brown rises on retailers demand

However, other spices moved in a narrow range in restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels. Marketmen said pick up in retailers demand mainly pushed up cardamom brown prices.
Cardamom brown- Jhundiwali and Kanchicut moved up by Rs 10 each to Rs 810-860 and Rs 1,010-1,510 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's quotations: Ajwain 10,600-15,600, black pepper (per kg) 460-560, betelnut (kg) 160-195, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 810-860, and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,010-1,510. Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 685-755, cardamom (colour robin) 595-645, cardamom bold 625-685, cardamom extra (bold) 925-975 and cloves (kg) 600-650.
