Agriculture official caught taking bribe
Chandigarh, March 11: An agriculture development officer has been caught red-handed in Sonipat while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for passing a subsidy of Rs one lakh for a wheat cutting machine.
Pardeep Kumar, Agriculture Development Officer of Sonipat was caught by officers of Haryana State Vigilance Bureau when he was accepting the bribe from a resident of Gohana yesterday, a spokesperson today said.

In another arrest yesterday, vigilance sleuths caught Roshan Lal, a Patwari in Sirsa district, while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 in lieu of mutation of land.
The spokesperson said separate cases have been registered against both the accused under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
