14000 tonnes of Potash for TN

Erode, Sep 3: Consignment of 14000 tonnes of Potash will arrive in Tamil Nadu in a couple of days and then it would be supplied to all districts for use of farmers, Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister K.A. Sengottiyan said.

He was speaking after inaugurating a paddy procurement centre at Polavakalipalayam near Gobichettipalayam yesterday.

The Minister also warned that action would be taken against fertiliser dealers, if they hoard fertilisers without supplying them to farmers.

Nine PPCs would function in Gobichettipalayam, Bhavani and Sathyamangalam taluks where the farmers may sell their paddy said the minister. District Collector C.Kamaraj was also present.
