18 killed in Indonesia bus accident
The bus from northern Jakarta carrying around 60 people was returning from a trip to the hilly resort town of Puncak when its brakes apparently malfunctioned and collided with a car and plunged into a river in Indonesia's West Java province.
The police official said that the packed bus collided with a small car and crashed through the wall of a roadside building before both vehicles fell up to 8 meters (26 feet) into the river in Cisarua.
The disaster management officials has confirmed that 18 passengers have been killed in the accident and 40 are injured.
