Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in various parts of the country
Bangalore, Aug 17: Southwest monsoon is vigorous over Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and kutch and Telangana. It is very active over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic west Bengal, Jharkhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.
Rain and thundershowers occurred in various parts of India over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and along West coast. Some of the other places to have received heavy rainfall include Chhattisgarh, West
Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Gujarat region, north interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu and at isolated places over rest part of the country.
Rain and thundershower are likely to occur in the above-mentioned places in the next 3 days. However, extreme climatic conditions can be observed in few of the places above.
